| The Good, The Bad & The Ugly! You Decide! |
Edinburgh Thistles Wheelchair Basketball Team is open to all wheelchair users, male and female, who would like to take part in an exciting team sport. We are based at the Jack Kane Centre in Edinburgh where we train every Saturday afternoon. If you would like to come along one afternoon to participate or even just to have a look then please feel free! |

Wheelchair basketball is played on a full-size basketball court with the hoops at the same height as they would be for able-bodied players - so no concessions there to disability! A full team consists of eight players with five players on the court at any one time. Playing time for a match is forty minutes but as teams can request "timeouts" the actual length of a match will always be longer. It is an exciting sport both to play and to watch. For more information on how to get involved with Thistles please go to our Membership Page If you think that your company or organisation might be able to help with sponsorship please go to our Sponsorship Page |

The governing body for wheelchair basketball in the UK is the Great Britain Wheelchair Basketball Association (GBWBA) |
